Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share, and protect your information — and the choices you have.
Last updated: June 14, 2026
PGS Energy Training (“PGS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our websites, register for our seminars and online courses, or otherwise interact with us, how we use and share that information, and the rights and choices you have.
This policy applies to information collected through pgsenergy.com, our learning portal at learn.pgsenergy.com, our registration and checkout pages, and our email communications (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
Information you provide to us. We collect the information you submit when you:
- register for a classroom seminar, online course, On-Site Training, the PGS Unlimited Plan, or a PGS Preferred membership;
- complete a contact, discount-request, or information-request form;
- create or are enrolled in an account in our learning portal; or
- contact us by email or phone.
This may include your name, company or organization, job title, email address, telephone and fax numbers, mailing and billing addresses, course or membership selections, the number of attendees, any comments or questions you provide, and how you heard about us.
Payment information. When you pay by credit card, your card details are entered and processed directly by our third-party payment processor (Authorize.net, a Visa solution) on its own secure, encrypted page. Full card numbers are never collected by, transmitted to, or stored on PGS servers. We retain only limited transaction data such as an invoice number, a transaction identifier, and the last four digits of the card for our records.
Information collected automatically. When you use our Services, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and settings, device and operating-system information, referring/exit pages, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
We use the information we collect to:
- process your registrations, memberships, and payments, and deliver the training you purchase;
- create and administer your learning-portal account and provide course access and support;
- send you transactional messages such as order confirmations, receipts, access instructions, and important notices;
- respond to your inquiries and provide customer service;
- send you promotional emails about PGS programs (you may opt out at any time — see Section 7);
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Services and develop new offerings;
- detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity; and
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information where we have a legal basis to do so — namely: to perform a contract with you (for example, to deliver a course you registered for); for our legitimate interests (such as operating and improving our Services and marketing to existing customers) where those interests are not overridden by your rights; to comply with a legal obligation; or based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf — including payment processing (Authorize.net), our learning-management platform, email delivery, hosting, analytics, and spam protection — under agreements that limit their use of the information to providing those services.
- Instructors. Limited registration details may be shared with the instructors delivering a program in order to facilitate attendance and Q&A.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of PGS, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. If PGS is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Credit card transactions are processed over an encrypted connection by our PCI-compliant payment processor. Card information is handled entirely on the processor’s secure systems and does not reside on PGS servers. We will never ask you to send full payment card details by email.
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, maintain your registration session, measure traffic, and understand how our Services are used. This includes analytics and tag-management tools (such as Google) and security tools (such as Google reCAPTCHA, which is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service).
You can control cookies through your browser settings and can usually set your browser to refuse or delete cookies; however, some features of the Services may not function properly without them. Because there is no consistent industry standard, we do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
With your registration or inquiry, we may add your email address to our promotional mailing list so you can receive information about future PGS training. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such message or by contacting us at the address below. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional, transactional messages relating to your purchases and account.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account and training records, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you; to obtain a copy of it; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond as required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request access to and deletion of your personal information; and to correct inaccurate personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit. You may exercise these rights, or designate an authorized agent to do so on your behalf, by contacting us as described in Section 14. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your California privacy rights.
PGS is based in the United States and our Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Our Services are intended for professionals and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our handling of your information, or to exercise your privacy rights, please contact us:
