A One-Day Classroom Seminar (CPE Approved)

Register Soon to get Early Bird Pricing.

Fraud is defined as "Intentional deceit". In contracting, it is called "Hidden Profit". Most contracts are based on actual costs, plus margins for profit, even Lump Sum contracts.

This seminar identifies all the areas of hidden profits, and how to eliminate them. It gains you full contract-compliance ability for Design, as well as Construction/Maintenance contracts.

These teachings are based on project-proven techniques brought by the presenter, Don Ridge, an independent auditor of contractors, who has served various major energy clients since 1985 and documented many millions of credit exceptions for client's settlement.

What You Will Learn
  • Understand the true cost of markups on labor.
  • Learn what is to be in the bid for Overhead, and the methodology for adjustments as the costs change over the life of the contract.
  • Understand the true bid items of Markups on Indirect Labor. Although this is a bid item, it will be based on a manning-level that needs to be maintained for client to receive full value of the markup.
  • Learn the importance of crew-mixing in construction and maintenance workers to optimize efficiency and productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Learn how to manage the rental of construction equipment that holds the cost to approximately 10% of labor costs.
  • This seminar will provide prototype bid invitations that feature "fill-in-the-blanks" for clarity and uniformity. These bid invitations combine cost-plus and unit-price (a form of lump sum) to gain
